Ayhan and I spent this wonderfully warm evening with drinks and din din in the West Village. Spring is giving all signs of finally having sprung, thank the dear lord. This has been quite the challenging week for me, battling being sick, insomnia, dizziness, blah blah, so Ayhan basically seduced me by suggesting drinks tonight. I spent the day watching movies, including the classic "Marty," with Ernest Borgnine—so beautiful—but boy, it was good to get up and get out.
Once home, I joined neighbor Julia for her pre-apartment renovation soire, as we drew all over the walls about potential kitchen purchases. Wishing her the best of luck, since this time it isn't me that has to potty in the basement and faux join a gym to take a shower. Ew, demo'ing our bath last year wasn't fun, but worth the inconvenience.(Click on photo for kitchen appliance ideas, cool cats!) Have you seen our reno'd bathroom, by chance? By all means, let me indulge. Below: before:And now:
Remember writing on the kitchen wall of my Old Town apartment? I think we did a body outline of you! We were supposed to paint right after and of course we procrastinated and it looked like crap for months. Good times.
