Chuck Taylor was born in Lynchburg, Va.—the home of both Jerry Falwell the evangelist and the Fleet Enema Corp. After studying journalism at James Madison University, he moved to Washington, D.C. and worked for a number of trade publications, before securing the job he had dreamed of since age 10: as a writer and editor for Billboard magazine in New York. He now lives in Brooklyn Heights, N.Y., and, instead of carrying a cell phone in his hand at all times, has his lil' Canon 24/7, hoping to capture the spice of life for The Smoking Nun.
