No Fare!
Bless this (dumbass) cabbie's heart. What was he thinking, trying to navigate an unscraped street corner in Brooklyn Heights (corner of Montague Terrace & Remsen Street)? Who knows exactly when this happened: His taxi was abandoned late this afternoon. Of course, everybody that walked by—me included—had to have a picture. Dunno know why it's so photogenic... but just 'tis.
Sunset in BK.
Abby & Spencer brave the cold & ice for one of their first walks in the northeast snow (they're from Missouri, you know). Fortunately, we found a few scraped passages.

Happy Birthday Karla Bonoff

I first saw her live at the Birchmere in Alexandria, Va., in the early 1990s; then again at B.B. King in New York in April 2009.
Bury Me Deep
They're saying this is the sixth-biggest blizzard in New York history, with 20 inches on the ground. Not as amusing as I figured: It's all about the grisly winds... Let's take a walk back in time over the past 24 hours...
The Brooklyn Heights Promenade... 10 a.m. Monday...
On the Promenade. Notice passersby are actually standing on the bench seats.
Road to nowhere... A small pathway in the sidewalk and then a 20-inch snow bank.
The dig-out begins.
Below, the snow reaches up to the bench seats.
Montague Street, Brooklyn Heights.
Sunday night, 9 p.m. in full blizzard mode, with 50 mph winds.
Ten seconds of mayhem...Sunday evening, 8 p.m.
Sunday, 3 p.m.
Sunday 1 p.m.

Sunday, noon.
Sunday, 11 a.m.
Sunday, 10:30 a.m., the calm before the storm.

BLIZZARD! No Fooling This Time!

Of course, walking the dogs in a blizzard... I haven't quite figured that one out yet.
