The renowned Rock and Roll Hall of Fame blues guitarist and singer/songwriter B.B. King turns a crisp 85 today. Ayhan and I met him in 2004 at the Swedish Embassy in New York when the Royal Swedish Academy of Music awarded him the Polar Music Prize that year. King has been awarded a total of 15 Grammys. And five-time Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter Marc Anthony turns 42 today. In 1999, I interviewed Marc with fabulous Aussie singer/songwriter Tina Arena face to face about their duet, "I Want To Spend My Lifetime Loving You"—produced by James Horner (Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On")—for the flick "The Mask of Zorro." She was a wildcat; he was mighty sweet... this was a good bit before he hit it big as an English-speaking solo artist with "I Need To Know" and "You Sang To Me."(Read full Billboard column here.)Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers is 18. He has not yet won any Grammys. He's the one between meese and Ayhan's niece Ecem.
