Spring Is Sprung (For The Moment)
A beautiful New York day, with temps in the 60s... The evening peaked with a re-celebration of Bryan Reesman's birthday at Revival bar. Before meeting the group, I spent some time with headphones and a playlist of 1984's best sitting in Union Square Park. And then I crossed the street to Virgin Records, the last remaining record retailer in NYC... and with the Times Square store closing, this is the only left... for now. The stacks were full of $10 discs... and admittedly I took stock of songs and artists that I favored and made a mental note to download what I wanted... in my 40s I'm of the same mind-set as every kid in America: Why pay for a full disc when I can purchase a track for 99 cents from iTunes? Sad but true.
