Every year, thousands of people become gravely ill from the flu, but boy, the media is having a field day trying its damndest to turn "swine flu" into an epidemic. I'm sorry for the gentleman that died this week in NYC, but a total of
one death in the nation's biggest metropolitan area hardly seems like cause for hysteria.
It's fun to see New Yorkers walking around with face masks on (and I'm convinced the vast majority are Asian tourists), because heading uptown on the subway every day and grasping a metal pole likely contains more germs than the potential danger of contacting dreaded swine flu. Fact. So if you're going to look like an idiot, you may as well do it with
style, yes?
