Zanne and I ventured to their home back in the snowy winter of 2010 to house-sit, when the entire town was shades of white and gray. Boy, what a different take in the height of Spring. And such a lovely village. I could actually see myself living in a place like this: artistic, liberal, local businesses and best of all: NO Starbucks allowed! *

Daytripping: Maplewood, New Jersey
Last Saturday, I went with pal Suzanne and her man Ralph to Maplewood, N.J., where her sis Kathy and partner Anne own a beautiful Colonial-style home, along with their two kids and one gigantic dog. We were in town for the annual Maplewood Art Walk—where Kathy was exhibiting her original paintings.
