Din Din Japanese-Style

I haven't been to Benihana in, what, 20 years, back when I lived in D.C. Last evening, I accompanied Liz D. and her pal Eileen—whose man Chuck worked as a freelance photog for Billboard for many years. I used to hire him for numerous events, as did much of the NYC music world. His archives surely rival Patrick McMullan's.

Much fun having our five-course meal prepared in front of us in midtown East. Soup, salad, grilled veges, shrimp and steak, fried rice and ice cream, along with a crisp glass of red wine (the girls had the more traditional sake). Haven't seen my Liz in more than a month, so great to catch up. Now if we could just get our book deal in place.
