Celebrity offspring are certainly a common breed... Goldie Hawn's Kate Hudson, James Brolin's Josh, Martin Sheen's Charlie, Kurt Douglas' Michael, Henry Fonda's Jane and even Bruce Paltrow and Blythe Danner's limited Gwyneth... These actors and actresses share one thing in common with their mamers and peepaws: They're attractive, if not striking... Kate and Josh are surely great beauties in pop culture today, as were Jane and Michael in their day.
And then there's Rumer Willis, the daughter of Bruce and Demi Moore. This weekend, she has a role in slasher flick "Sorority Row," following a turn in the intellectual masterpiece "House Bunny" last year. The real horror, however: This 21-year-old not only is little more than a celebutante college drop-out riding the nepotistic coattails of parental fame, but let's face it... She's a better bet to place in the Kentucky Derby or the Hamptons Classic than as a credible actress. Not to be unkind, but two words: horse face!
Granted, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Kirsten Dunst, Hilary Swank and Jennifer Connelly have all managed formidable careers despite unseemly facial features, but c'mon, if I'm expected to pay out to support Hollywood careers, give me some damn eye candy, not a monstrous mug that makes me turn the other way or worse, spill my popcorn out of revulsion.
Shallow perhaps, but I say me speaks plain truth.
