Sometime over the weekend, The Smoking Nun surpassed the 25,000 mark for page hits. Very gratifying. This blog has certainly evolved from its beginnings as a post for my Billboard writing, outings in NYC and exploration of historical Brooklyn, to a more emotive, occasional combative confessional about the mind-fuck of being laid off, to a snark-filled view of pop culture, and now to a more gentle photo journal of a life in glorious transition, certainly still with a modicum of soapbox rants.
After the Gwyneth Paltrow "roaches" post, which was picked up by
Gawker and is certainly well documented here, traffic has consistently been about double what it was previously. Obviously, as blogs go, we're still small time—for now(?)—but this has become a touchstone, a daily destination to unleash the demons in my head. Thankee for stopping by, cool cats.
