I've had the wild and wondrous pleasure of attending a number of events over the years hosted by Grammy-nominated songwriter Denise Rich—who has penned songs for Celine Dion, Jessica Simpson, Patti Labelle and Marc Anthony—at her apartment in Manhattan, on Fifth Avenue overlooking Central Park, you know, where the original Van Gogh hangs in her living room. Friday night, she hosted a party in Southampton to promote continued awareness for her Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for cancer research. Let's see... trim my fingernails with my teeth or agree to spend a couple hours at the soiree...

event in February. BTW, all that hoo-haw about her elegance and manners and what not... believe every word. Folks well-trained in the art of such finesse remember peoples' names, and she referred to me as "Chuck" all evening long. Well done. And fucking beautiful, too.
