Smithsonian locking away pesky bow in a glass case forever, in new exhibit: "Once-Famous Singers With No Style"
Aretha Franklin is considering a Smithsonian Institution request to donate the gray wool hat that caused a sensation at the Jan. 20 swearing-in of President Barack Obama. Dominated by an oversized bow adorned with Swarovski crystals, the hat would be displayed alongside other memorable inauguration items, including First Lady Michelle Obama's inaugural gown. Designer Luke Song has received 3,000 requests for the hat. He plans to sell a replica for $179.
