To acknowledge the bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln's birth and the 100th anniversary of the Lincoln cent, the U.S. mint is releasing a new penny for the first time in 50 years. New tail-side designs will be issued in three-month intervals beginning February 12, 2009, showing four aspects of Abraham Lincoln's life.
From left, his childhood in Kentucky, formative years in Indiana, professional life in Illinois and presidency. The front remains the same.
Great: 200 of these will buy you a cup of coffee.
