A fast-moving blaze gutted a significant portion of the Fire Island Pines commercial district Monday night, including fave summertime bars/clubs the Pavilion, LaFountaine and Sip N' Twirl, along with the Pines Bistro and one bay front home.
According to Fire Island News, 300 firefighters responded to the outbreak, the largest flame-filled disaster to strike Long Island since 1995. Fortunately, no one was injured.
