'Dressed To Kilt' Party & Charity Event At NYC's Hammerstein

Tuesday evening I had a freelance assignment for "Country Weekly" to cover the ninth-annual Dressed to Kilt fashion show and party, benefiting Sean Connery’s Friends of Scotland organization. This year’s theme was “Country Chic,” which brought to New York a number of country music superstars, including Amy Grant, Kix Brooks, Kellie Pickler, Gary Allen and Stealing Angels, as well as TV and movie stars and athletes.

The event's red carpet was set up beautifully, so that photogs, camera crews and print press all got their turn to do their duty with the guest celebs. I was able to get quotes from each of the artists, and even met guest Donald Trump, which was a gas. My "Country Weekly" webbie story is here, with an upcoming follow-up piece for the print edition in the coming week.Yes, indeed, Donald Trump, whom I met, with Melania Trump.
