Celine Dion will appear Thursday, Sept. 15 in New York's Central Park as part of a free concert with headliner Andrea Bocelli. Mercy, I think I just soiled myself.
The extravaganza on the park's Great Lawn will feature the acclaimed Italian tenor performing with the New York Philharmonic, conducted by its music director Alan Gilbert.
In addition to Celine, guests include Tony Bennett, Chris Botti and David Foster, along with a bunch of sopranos and classical what nots.
Did I mention that Celine Dion will be appearing?
She and Bocelli recorded “The Prayer,” for the 1998 animated film “Quest for Camelot,” which won the Golden Globe for best original song and landed an Academy Award nomination.
NYC public television channel WNET will record the concert for national broadcast on “Great Performances” in late fall. In addition, a CD and DVD, Andrea Bocelli Live In Central Park, will be released in November.
Now the conundrum... All tickets have been distributed. I think I just soiled myself again.
Hi Chuck,
