Sunday I was a talking head on Elizabeth Kelly's "Celebrity Court" radio show, which is streamed on Blog Talk Radio. The topic was a lawsuit filed by a former administrative assistant for Courtney Love.
She has sued for a whole A goodie bag of offenses, including three wrongful termination charges, failure to pay wages, overtime and business expenses, breach of contract and the best: intentional infliction of emotional distress, creating a hostile working environment and bringing on mental and physical duress, comprising headaches, insomnia, depression and anxiety.
The party, 33-year-old Jessica Labrie filed with Superior Court of California in L.A. on July 10, and also alleges that she was asked to hire a computer hacker for Love and to falsify legal documents—which she refused to do. Labrie says Love also promised her a paid scholarship to Yale, a role in an upcoming Nirvana biopic and a job with her music management company.
You'd think one would know better, right? The caveat: According to TMZ, Labrie earlier this year titled "Get Me a Xanax," which promised “an unprecedented glimpse into the daily life of the chaotic widow of Kurt Cobain, by an innocuous girl who had the extraordinary chance to witness it all."
One has to wonder about her true intentions, in light of that tidbit... Take a listen to "Celebrity Court" on-demand here. *
