Fire Island Day One: Architecturally Speaking

John Eberhardt, who built the Belvedere Hotel, dedicated much of the land he bought more than 50 years ago to dozens of cottages—shanties might be a better term—which still mark much of the quaint landscape of Fire Island's Cherry Grove. See if you can guess which among the following homes are Eberhardt originals...
I'm assuming you don't really need any help, eh? The wood structure is among the grandest structures facing the Atlantic. The round monstrosity is the shame of the Grove... an utter travesty.

  1. As far as I know places cannot be shamed. I wonder why you project such strong language upon a wooden structure. I wonder what it might represent to you. Care to share since you took the first shot?
