Wednesday 6 p.m.: NY Marriage Equality Act Vote Still Hanging

The New York Idiot Chamber...
Instead of working up yet another post on this down-to-the-wire teeth-grinding issue, I'll defer to this report at CBS New York.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo is apparently trying to work with Republicans by adding language to placate their insistence that same-sex marriage is a religious and not a civil rights issue.

"There were passionate protests Wednesday and still no vote on same-sex marriage from the Senate. Republicans have yet to decide if they want one—or when. You could hear the sound throughout the state capital, chanting from both sides of the debate. As of late Wednesday afternoon, senators seemed to be tuning out pleas to make a decision one way or the other."
