Hamptons: Saturday Art Openings, Va Voom

After a morning spent sunning ourselves at Casa de Leonard, Saturday evening we were gleefully occupied with two Hamptons art openings. Our first stop was Karyn Mannix Contemporary gallery in Southampton Village, for The Red Show, complete with mixed media works in, um, red. Dress code: red, baby.Meese, Karyn, Leo and Ayhan.On left is artist Christine, painter of abstract acrylic "Anger."And her fabulous va-va-voom shoes.And the original Chuck Taylor work, "Head Over Heels." (Please contact my agent for pricing; it's real, real expensive.)Leonard with artist and acclaimed anthropologist Setha Low."Sezen Chanteuse" by Alex Vignoli.One of a series of six in "Tongue In Cheek," by Maria Pessino.Leonard with 14-year-old musical prodigy Raphael Kustura.Kastura will perform at Leonard's "Exploring Media" show next month in Southampton.Talented songwriter/producer Ayhan with some dude in a rose-splashed shirt.Onward to Amagansett for a group show at Whitewash gallery.Leo with masseur and holistic practitioner Eric Pettigrew.And the greatest work of the evening, Leo's 1982 300D Mercedes. Va voom, indeed.
