Two weeks after her July 23 death, a number of magazines are paying tribute to gone-too-soon singer/songwriter Amy Winehouse. Some very keen, respectful graphics are at play here.
The public is reacting as well: Her Back To Black album returns to No. 1 on the U.K. Albums chart and the top 10 of U.S. albums, while Grammy-winning Song of the Year "Rehab" is again in the top 10 BigChampagne's Ultimate Chart. Winehouse also is the No. 2 overall Ultimate Chart artist.
One exception to the mass tribute is Rolling Stone, which decided to sell out with a cover featuring the unknown Sheepdogs, winners of the mag's self-serving "Do You Wanna Be a Rock & Roll Star?" contest. Lame.
