La and I stopped in for a healthy dose of cultuh' at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Thursday, so that she could see Andy Warhol's "Marilyn," with a couple other Warhol goodies. To our surprise, on the fifth floor, we found a wealth of world-renowned paintings, which were utterly awesome to see.

Roy Lichtenstein's "Drowning Girl," 1963

Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry Night," 1889; and "Portrait of the Postman," 1889.

James Ensor, "Masks Confronting Death," 1888.

Henri Rousseau, "The Dream," 1910.

And finally, the Sculpture Garden.

It really is an awesome place to see.
