You'd think it would be a simple question: In which U.S. states are guns legal. Not the case. The Second Amendment of the Constitution protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms, adopted in 1791, which is honored in 44 states (exceptions: California, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey and New York). But at the same time, 49 states, with the exception of Illinois, allow citizens to
carry certain concealed firearms in public. So you can own a gun, as long as its hidden?
