Madonna Confirmed As Super Bowl Halftime Entertainment

Madonna has been confirmed as the headliner for Super Bowl 46's halftime show Feb. 5. She will perform at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, with a concept via Cirque du Soleil.

This is Madonna’s first Super Bowl performance. She was scheduled to sing her dreadful cover of “American Pie” in 2000, but canceled because of an alleged recording schedule conflict.

Even though she's a bit of a fright to hear live, she's always a wondrous spectacle performing. And god knows she is a dozen touchdowns better than last year's horrific trainwreck entertainment by The Black Eyed Peas.
