Happy Birthday Tina Arena!
Six-time ARIA-award-winning singer/songwriter Tina Arena—one of the finest vocalists and greatest broads I know—turns 43 today. She scored a single American pop hit with "Chains" in 1994, as well as the club smash "Never (Past Tense)" with Roc Project in 2003. At home in Australia, she has logged five top 10 hits, and six top 10s in France. She remains one of my top 5 female vocalists of all time, alongside Celine Dion, Sheena Easton, Kim Wilde and Delta Goodrem. In 1999, I interviewed Tina for Billboard with Marc Anthony about their duet, "I Want To Spend My Lifetime Loving You" for the flick "The Mask of Zorro."
