Over his three-decade career, Bryan Adams, who turned 51 Friday, has picked up 18 Juno Awards, 15 Grammy Award nominations—and one win—plus three Oscar nods. He has scored No. 1 hits in the U.S. in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, with a total of 17 top 10 hits here.
In Canada, Adams has logged nine No. 1 hits, including "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You," from "Robin Hood: Price of Thieves." Originally, film director Michael Kamen asked Kate Bush, Annie Lennox and Lisa Stansfield to contribute to the soundtrack. They all said nope—and Adams ended up with his biggest hit ever, which topped the singles charts in 30 countries.
