It felt like spring in New York City yesterday, but that didn't stop it from snowing in the Big Apple... Thanks to filming of the flick "Mr. Popper's Penguins," a classic children's story by Richard Atwater that stars Jim Carrey, Madison Square Park and the streets in front of the picturesque Flatiron Building became a winter wonderland.
According to onlocationvacations.com, Carey was spotted walking across the park and down the street carrying a brief case for the scene. Hours later, Paulie and I had just finished up our meeting at the Ace Hotel and literally walked into the blizzard, which, natch, we couldn't resist playing in. Along the street corners, the snow was real frozen stuff, but in the park... styrofoam flakes.
The movie is due in 2011.
