This is almost more delicious than a heap of buttery mashed potatoes. It appears that the longtime neighbors of Susan Boyle, Britain's Got Talent one-moment-in-the-sun singer, have had all they can stand of her belting out songs all night long.
According to British tabloid The Sun, Teresa Miller & fiancé Paul Keaveney have filed a noise complaint against 51-year-old Boyle, claiming her singing is more than they can bear: "I don't know if she has a karaoke machine or what, but it is loud. It goes on for hours," complained Miller, who shares a duplex wall with the Scottish singer in Blackburn, West Lothian.
Apparently, Boyle, who has sold 14+ million albums, spends hours belting out covers of "Wild Horses," "Unchained Melody" and "I Dreamed a Dream" to excessively loud music over and again. "It's so loud you can’t hear the telly," Miller told The Sun. "It’ll be on first thing in the morning or late at night and it’s absolutely blaring."
West Lothian Council officials declined to comment on the allegations against Boyle, who lives alone in the home—not surprisingly. with her cat.
A rep for Boyle told ABC News that the parties have been engaged in a long-running feud for more than a decade.
In addition to Boyle's original digs, she purchased a $500,000 villa across town after her second place finish on Britain's Got Talent in 2009, but returned to her original digs six months later. Miller alleges, "She was all right for a month or two, but then went to America and totally changed. I feel sorry for her."
I just have to wonder if Boyle is singing all those songs to her cat... whose name is probably Simon. *
