Wowsah. I had a wild, whacko, wonderful dream early this morning where I accompanied this guy(?) back in time

to the campus of UC Berkeley, where I was experiencing the music of the day

first-hand from the 1970s and then, apparently in another time warp, during the 1960s...
We walked all over campus as The Beatles (I remember hearing "Love Me Do"), Franke Valli, The Beach Boys and psychedlic rock n'roll played. I was laughing that some of the songs sounded like today's lite rock and

oldies, but in context, they all blended together, with anti-establishment

messages. And music was everywhere, playing on campus, in every setting, as students
listened to the songs and
reacted to them.
My host took me all over the school, where I was amazed to see co-eds in the gymnasium drinking Pepsi in

bottles and professors smoking cigarettes in the classroom. I went into the

school's bookstore and looked through the stacks of albums being sold... and into a big auditorium and observed the hairstyles and fashion... and ended up with this fantastic cultural experience... like a movie, except I was
in it. And I was young... their age...
So groovy, man! What a bummer to wake up. *
Been there, done that, albeit on a different campus. Groovy quintessentially describes that time period Dorm life included ever-present music blaring from multiple record players. In retrospect, clothing might not have been as wonderful as we thought then, but, hey, it made a statement.
