Bury Me Deep
They're saying this is the sixth-biggest blizzard in New York history, with 20 inches on the ground. Not as amusing as I figured: It's all about the grisly winds... Let's take a walk back in time over the past 24 hours...
The Brooklyn Heights Promenade... 10 a.m. Monday...
On the Promenade. Notice passersby are actually standing on the bench seats.
Road to nowhere... A small pathway in the sidewalk and then a 20-inch snow bank.
The dig-out begins.
Below, the snow reaches up to the bench seats.
Montague Street, Brooklyn Heights.
Sunday night, 9 p.m. in full blizzard mode, with 50 mph winds.
Ten seconds of mayhem...Sunday evening, 8 p.m.
Sunday, 3 p.m.
Sunday 1 p.m.

Sunday, noon.
Sunday, 11 a.m.
Sunday, 10:30 a.m., the calm before the storm.
