On Monday, NBC's Today show revealed the movie trailer for Whitney Houston's upcoming movie role 
in Sparkle, a remake of a 1976 flick that is scheduled to hit theaters August 17. (The YouTube version without commercials is below.)The film stars Houston as the mother of three girls who form a singing group and struggle with fame and drug
addiction.The trailer below shows the daughters performing, including American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, who plays the title character.
