A historic new version of "We Are the World"—an astonishing 25 years following the original—became a reality Tuesday, as dozens of entertainers gathered in Los Angeles with producer Quincy Jones and producer/co-writer Lionel Richie.
According to USA Today, among the performers: Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Pink, Jonas Brothers, Tony Bennett, Santana, Jennifer Hudson, Sugarland, Gladys Knight, Ann & Nancy Wilson, Miley Cyrus, Akon, Jordin Sparks, Rob Thomas, Usher and Josh Groban.
Sadly, also participating: Jamie Foxx, Kanye West, T-Pain, Justin Bieber, Nicole Richie and Lil Wayne.
