What a difference a week makes—only we're heading
back in time instead of
forward toward the warm Spring weather that's supposed to make outdoors a pleasant place to be.

Today in NYC: 48 degrees, gray and rainy. The average for mid-May: 67. Boo, hiss, weather gods. The forecast for the rest of the week: equally hateful. Typical for NYC... where short sleeve shirts don't move to the front of the closet until after Memorial Day. After 15 years, I know this scenario... Okay, it's weather. There are more important things to bitch about.

Here in Australia it was a very warm and extended summer. Autumn (Fall?) felt like Spring until a few weeks ago. It is nearing Winter now, and it finally feels cooler.
