Last week, Iowa became the third state in the nation—with Massachusetts and Connecticut, and the only state in the Midwest—to approve marriage between gays and lesbians. The state is ranked No. 30 in terms of U.S. population.According to the Des Moines Register, "With no appeal as an option, opponents say their only 'hope' to overturn [the] decision is a bid to amend the state constitution. But that path, which would eventually require a public vote, would not yield results until 2012 at the earliest."
Nuttin' against Iowa, but who'd have seen that coming? God bless Iowa, um, wherever it is.
