Photog: William Klein

I was watching a documentary last night on Ovation called "Paper Movies," which included a segment about photographer/filmmaker William Klein, whose techniques during the 1950s created both disturbing and illuminating images of New York in the 1950s. His scenarios are all the more poignant in bold shades of black and white, where the edges often mesh into one another. These pepes look, crazy, man!He went on to find fame as a fashion photographer for the likes of Vogue, but it's his blurred, intense and slice-of-life shots of NYC that drew me in. Born in 1928, Klein is alive and well and living with your mamer.
