Wednesday Diary

Look, he writes... and he cooks, too. Up at 9:15 and on the deck by 10 a.m. yesterday for morning sustenance.Spent several hours scouring Liz D.'s portfolio, looking over her interviews with the likes of Steven Tyler, Linda Blair, Sting, Jimmy Page, Olivia Newton-John(!), Stevie Nicks and many, many more—along with countless mementos of Liz.At 3 p.m., Bonegunn, aka Bryan Kane, arrived from the city for a two-hour interview, as we sat on the deck. Boy, he and Liz have much in common... if not for their decades difference in age. This man did some serious shit, and then some more, but today leads his rock trio with a clear mind and a good heart.Once finished, we took a walk through downtown Southampton, then investigated the ancient graveyard that I've been wanting to traipse around for weeks now.Amazing, crumbling, centuries-old burial stones, just a block from regal homes in the center of town.Is it my imagination, or does Bryan seem to have... an aura... about him here in the cemetery? Swear on my grave (whoop, whoop, har har), I did not retouch this pic. Hmmm, most curious...After he headed back to the city, it was more work on the book outline and more Liz research.Good and later, Sidi grilled burgers with fresh mushrooms, and hand-cut fries. A pretty damn swell day, eh? You won't hear me complaining.
