Castlestock @ Sir Ivan's Castle

Yes, castle... The larger-than-life Sir Ivan hosts an annual charity event at his estate in Water Mill, Bridgehampton, where he traditionally shares his wares as a dance aficionado. This year, on Saturday night, he performed his techno version of "Kumbaya." No, really.Sir Ivan in his caped glory. The theme obviously resonated around the 40th anniversary of Woodstock, so flower power was all about. With Liz D. and Ayhan... Turns out that Liz and I both ran into an old friend, Dr. Judy Kuriansky, the radio advice host—whom I hosted as the keynote speaker at the Billboard Radio Conference back in 1996. As soon as I reminded her of the event—where she frightened the shit out of the attendees by insisting they rub therapeutic Hawaiian mud over their faces—she started reciting every detail back to me. Fab lady.Peace, cool cats.Liz D. and a handsome Turk.Ayhan and meese. (Thanks, Bryan!)Here's Sir Ivan's official video clip for "Kumbaya."

  2. from Dr Judy Kuriansky - Chuck - LOVED seeig you after all these years. You were the VISIONARY behind saying "yes" to my idea to ask the conference participants ast my workshop (while they were eating breakfast no less) to spread magic Maui Mud on tehir faces! It was part of a unique ritual musical experience. After all, I flew in my unique Maui musical performer for the special event! Some guys were shocked -- shocking itself for music dudes who shold be cool. You are still so COOL -- great to see you with Liz D and love your new project.
    Stay in touch.
