Happy Birthday Carole Bayer Sager

Songwriter Carole Bayer Sager, who turns 64 today, has written more hits than one can count on a body's appendages. Artists who have recorded her compositions include Celine Dion ("Teh Prayer," with Andrea Bocelli), Sheena Easton ("One Man"), Josh Groban, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Bette Midler, LeAnn Rimes, Anita Baker, James Ingram, Michael McDonald, Kenny Rogers, Roberta Flack, Peabo Bryson, Christopher Cross, The Pointer Sisters, Diana Ross, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Patti Labelle, Phil Collins and Leo Sayer.

Mercy, I'm out of breath.

She has won an Oscar for "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)" (six nominations), a Grammy (nine nominations), two Golden Globes (seven nominations), and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

She also recorded one solo hit, "Stronger Than Before," in 1981, which was my No. 16 song of the year. With my pal Larry D.

  1. Hello,I am a singer/songwriter from Vienna/Austria ,but lived for many years now in London.Just found out that it is your birthday. Can I just say that you look absolutely fantastic. As a singer I have many times interpreted one of your songs fondly(that's what friends are for) and thought about you now over the new recording of the"prayer" with beloved Michael Bolton and Laura Fabian.A Michael Jackson lover and mourner I am still so saddened ."You are my life "is beautiful as its "the falling in love".
I drifted a bit away from what I always thought would be my own life, but maybe I am going to meet you one day. Happy Birthday wishes you
