This postcard addressed to Miss F.E.L. Taylor in Franklin, Mass., was processed at Grand Central Station in NYC on April 22, 1937. "Mama" writes, "Dear E, Is everything okay? I hope so. Have been thinking about you all and trust everything is O.K. now. Hope that stove and everything is working fine. Love, Mama." In a P.S., she instructs E to "meet the 10:30 train."
Front of the postcard shows the Northeast side of Fifth Avenue and 34th Street. Amid the crowd on sidewalks are cars and a double-decker bus. The car parked facing north indicates that Fifth Avenue, at the time, was a two-way street.
