To All The Jobs I've Loved Before

One of my fave daily blog reads is Snig’s Spot. She has a hilarious post outlining every job she’s had in her life. Thought I’d try to remember all the things I’ve been paid to do over the decades. This hurt my head, but what a riotous exercise:

* Dish dryer (for my mammer, for $1 a week allowance!)
* Lawn boy
* Dog-sitter
* Dishwasher, Pizza Inn
* Pizza cook, Pizza Inn (a promotion!)
* Topical acne medicine study
* DJ, country WWOD-AM & AC WKZZ-FM/Lynchburg, Va.
* College newspaper features editor, The Breeze/James Madison University
* Telemarketer for oceanfront condos in Florida (selling from a bull-pen in Alexandria, Va.)
* Conference director for Georgetown University journalism programs
* Receptionist for ultra-right-wing think tank, Capital Research Fund
* Reporter/section editor, Washington Business Journal
* Medical textbook proofreader
* Host, Dalts restaurant
* Editor-in-chief of corporate real estate newsletters, Clark Construction Group
* Reporter TV Technology
* FCC reporter, columnist, tech editor, Radio World/Radio World International
* Wedding videographer
* Editor Tuned In radio management/programming monthly
* Stretch limousine driver
* Subscription card data processor
* Writer, editor, columnist Billboard magazine
* Host of Billboard Radio online countdown
* Regular freelance artist profiles for NYC gay rag Next
* Published songwriter, Young Pals Music
* Tech columnist for Pro Audio Review mag
* Liner notes for Celine Dion, ‘N Sync, a bunch of Time-Life compilations
* Artist bios for Backstreet Boys, Jim Brickman, Oleta Adams, Weird Al…
* Features editor/writer Radio & Records

With the current economy, I'm looking forward to exploring that career in dog-sitting again.
