Hi. I'm Chuck. In case you're new here, every Friday for the past two years at 5 p.m., a whistle goes off in my head. It's time to meet the most creative, expressive, lovable folks I know, at Lunasa on the Lower East Side in New York City for a spot or two of spirits and a heap of spirited conversation.
When I was a young man in my 20s living in Washington, D.C., I had great fortune in being part of a circle of superlative friends, ever evolving, protective of one another and indulgent in the delightful decadence of life. Lightning strikes again. I treasure this weekly event.
The drill since last summer: I gather whomever is present at 7 p.m.—and CLICK. Record a revolving minute in time.
I really am very lucky that in this stage of my life to have such a wonderful group of people I can call my true friends.
