Friday Evening: Moxie's Monumental Surprise

After hiding at our hotel for a couple hours, Ro-Ro, Bill, Corrine and meese made our way to quaint Pearl Street in downtown Boulder... Destination one: The Kitchen, a hip, urban restaurant, to wait for Derek to bring Mox in for da surprise of a lifetime (or at least the first four decades of such). We waited nervously, toes tapping, sipping wine... and in they came... As Mox came up the stairs and rounded the corner, her mouth dropped open... she stammered... and then the tears started flowing... Oh, and she cried, too. (This pic cracks my shit up; this is actually emotion, though it looks like she's pissed off, huh?Next came about the best garlic fries I've had in my (long, tattered) life, more drinks, a free-flow of photos, and more tears. Derek was deemed a deserving hero, and we all bragged about how we'd managed to stay mum.Next, we were off to Mox's surprise dinner, complete with a dozen-plus local friends... um, I sure wish I had a clue where that dinner was.Surprise! More group photos. The evening was capped with Moxie's "penis factory" birthday cannoli. And then... back to the Days Inn, for rest... as the dawn would bring an even bigger day.
