One of my most beloved actresses—permanently "Wishlisted" on Tivo—Brittany Murphy, has died of cardiac arrest at age 32. Sources tell TMZ that her mom discovered her unconscious in the shower Sunday and her husband called paramedics, who administered CPR, but were unable to revive her. She was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
In addition to her starmaking turn in "Clueless," I adored Murphy in the powerful "Don't Say A Word" with Michael Douglas, and romantic comedies "Little Black Book" and "Love and Other Disasters." She also voiced Luanne in "King of the Hill," for 12 years. Among projects already wrapped for 2010 are "The Expendables," an action/adventure flick with Sylvester Stallone.
