Sunday morn, Derek, Moxie and Lucas, Rogelio and Bill, Corrine and meese convened for breakfast at the Winter Park Resort, before we latter four returned to Denver International, sigh, to head home, while Mox and family celebrated her (actual) 40th birthday with another day in paradise. And then breakfast, where we all delight in Lukie helping us ID our facial features. Precious.
My god, and that, suddenly, was a weekend wrap—with one more blessed group shot. After four months of planning, our birthday surprise weekend went by in a flash... although we agreed that as much traveling as it entailed, the actual time together was rich, momentous and truly remarkable. What a weekend. One of the best I can remember.
It began to snow as we made our way back to Denver... and since I intend to finish on a pleasant note, I won't mention that all four of us—meese, Corrine, Ro and Bill—dealt with separate nightmares on our return flights, making the fact that we all managed to arrive simultaneously all the more miraculous. So be it. xoxox
